...that's what I did. On my way out of the house this morning, off to catch the bus I noticed this colourful feather on the ground. So I popped it in the gate hinge where it sat safely until I got home and got my camera out. Great angle, lovely late afternoon light. The feather makes a sharp but pretty feature. One of my favourites I think.

110: A taste of England
These dear little Hula Hoops were my very favourite crisps, growing up as a child in England. Now here in Australia the packets are few and far between. But what a treasured treat they are when I get my hands on some. Today a multipack!!! found it's way onto my desk before I arrived at work, proving to be the highlight of my day and the best Monday morning pick me up ever. Thank you so much Kerry, for placing an order, and big thanks to Kerry's Mum for buying me some Hoops and bringing them all the way over from England with you! For anyone that hasn't tried them before, if you are ever in England, or anywhere else you may stumble across a packet, shout yourself one! There are plenty of flavours to pick from, all wonderful.

109: Rainbow
My second oldie: A favourite from my trip to New Zealand last year. When we arrived in Queenstown, ready for a week of snow activities, we were also presented with a stunning view of the town and lake from our accommodation and a colourful rainbow along with it. The scenery was so pretty, including the snow capped mountains, it was such a lovely setting to capture a rainbow. I was very pleased with how strongly the colours came out, sometimes they look a bit faint when there is not quite enough rain to sun ratio.

096: Havaianas for the fridge fairies
Check out these adorable mini Havaiana thong magnets I've popped on my fridge. So cute, just like the real things but with a magnet on the bottom and x20 smaller than usual. Some of these prints are my all time favourites. Wanted to get another close up in, playing around with the focus in the foreground and background. I like the white surroundings in this pic and the simple effect it gives the photo.

081: Fetch?

Haha this is one of my next favourite photos of the project! I never expected to capture such an action shot, and when I pulled out the camera today I wasn't even sure what my subject was going to be! So I was real chuffed when with the help of Ben (and Bentley I suppose) I captured this little game of fetch in the backyard. It just goes to show that great pics can come out of nowhere. I always seem to get plenty of duds when I try and photograph Bentley playing in the garden, I think because he moves so fast. So I actually sat down and tried to think of the best angle and direction to capture him from. Turns out, throw a ball directly at the camera and this is what you get!

036: Just cruisin'

By far one of my favourite photos at this point in the project. Probably for 2 reasons. 1: I love the movement and simplicity captured in the photo and 2: I'm just so super excited to have my hands on my new bike I just couldn't resist riding and taking photos at the same time (this could lead to serious injury, I should probably control myself more next time and at least stop, not to mention the fact that I don't even have a helmet yet so the whole time I'm looking out for police, although what I'm planning to do if I see one I'm not quite sure, I don't think I've got the stamina yet to out race them that's for sure, but anyway getting off track!!!) So to sum up totally one of the funnest photos yet :)

017: Across a meadow

I decided today's theme should be wide open spaces since I was taking a trip out to Beaudesert to visit Holly in her brand spanking new hair salon. So I thought I'd take advantage of some pretty scenery on the way home. My favourite thing about this photo is the way it's captured the movement in the grass blowing in the breeze and the sun glistening on the lens!

010: Colourful treats

Today a spontaneous trip to Tom's Confectionery Warehouse saw Ben and I both a little overwhelmed at what to spend our pennies on. Sooo many lollies, it is a kid's wonderland. I stumbled upon these mini liquorice allsorts, an old favourite of mine. So before eating too many I brought them home and took a couple of snaps! I love the natural light from the window in the background. During the week I take most of my photos at night because work cuts out such a large part of my day, so on the weekends I just treasure the daylight. Maybe I should just get up earlier and get some photos in before work!

004: Confessions of a sushi lover

One of my favourite things to do is head to the sushi station for a spot of lunch! So today that's what I did, this is probably one of the fanciest pieces I've ever found on that little train. I love how sushi chefs create such wonderful little pieces of mouth size deliciousness, with such speed and attention to detail.
