A quick snap this evening while on my way to dance class. The sunset is always quite spectacular at this particular time on this particular drive. Too good to resist picking up my camera on some days.

So I couldn't help but return to the location of photo 334 this evening, when another glorious sunset presented itself. I took on the challenge of sourcing another completely different pic from the same location and am quite pleased with the result. Interlacing wire fences like this one always come up well in photographs, especially well in this situation - as a silhouette, in front of such deep yellows and oranges softly setting over the horizon and reflecting across the water.30.11.09
334: Over exposed sunset
Driving along Kingsford Smith Drive this evening, noticing the gorgeous sunset disappearing before my eyes, I made the sudden descision to pull over (sorry to any cars that I may have cut off as a result). Having taken a few sunset photos this year already, I went for another style this time! Looks so warm and summery20.10.09

164: Oh beautiful sunset
I feel like I say this at least once a month but here's another one to throw into the bag of favourites so far. Moreton Island has certainly delivered! We were treated to the most stunning beach sunset this evening. Our party took a bit of a stroll down the beach and along the way I had plenty of opportunities to capture different moments of the sun going down. The light it creates is just beautiful. Together these photos would make a lovely series. But this one I love because it's not just any old silhouette against a sunset. My friend Reuben actually has some pretty big stretchers in his ears and I noticed as he was walking towards me that it would make for a fabulous shot with the light captured through the holes in his profile.
