289: A night at the gallery

Found myself heading to Nine Lives gallery again this evening to check out some awesome New York photography by Dane Beesley. After watching an amusing episode involving 6 guys trying to get a vintage dresser through the 2nd floor window of the gallery (successfully I might add) we climbed the stairs (the more customary option) and had a good look around. This little old chair in the corner caught my eye and looked great against the stark white walls with someone's shadow cast aross it.

248: Little blue chair

This little blue chair used to seat me when I would go to visit my Granny a long, long time ago. In fact I would have only been about 4, 5 and 6 years old. It was also used by my little brother and my 2 younger cousins. What a sturdy little thing. I'm so glad my Granny still has it. Even though these days all it holds is the crossword puzzle books. What I love about this photograph is the way the photo looks like it was taken on film. Really grainy, with that beautiful soft light processed the way the old camera always do. So appropriate for the subject.

209: Spotlight

Walked by this odd little room this evening. Bare except for a few chairs and a single light, I loved the way it spotlighted down on this white plastic chair. So simple. The shadow is great.
