268: On a back veranda

In the suburb of Paddington I found myself enjoying being well and truely home. You don't get much more Aussie than this. Friday evening drinks on a back veranda, the weather is balmy and the company is good. The only sad part of the evening (for us) is that this is Tegan's leaving party. It's extremely exciting for her though, about to depart on a 3 month long world trip, Teags I wish you a massively fun but safe adventure.

205: Way home

Bus is how I get to and from work Monday to Friday (as do many many others, including my lovely work friend Tegan - read about here most recent public transport experience here). It's not my preferred method of transport, it's too sporadic and unreliable here in Brisbane. But it's not going to badly for me at the moment. Thought I could capture this aspect of my day in my 365 project. Since home time is my favourite time of day, and the light was at just the right level, I whipped out my camera to catch a motion shot for a change, Mmmm way home.

075: Quilted goodness

This pic is for my friend Tegan (who also happens to have a blog, more focused on words though and a wonderful read so you should definitely check it out - tea is for terrific). Now just the other day it was Tegan's 21st birthday so today, naturally we were discussing presents and it turns out, just like I did for my 21st, she received a hand made quilt from her Mum. Thanks Mums this is a beautiful idea and one of the most special presents we received. I promised I would show her what mine looked like so, Tegan, here's a little glance. I can't wait to see what beautiful colours and patterns your Mum has created for you. Frankie could definately write a Mum/quilt/talent article!
